Psychometric Testing

Psychometric Tests are growing in popularity in Ireland and are commonly used in assessment centres and recruitment processes to identify the perfect candidate for the role against a number of factors chosen by the company.

Most tests used are lengthy, repetitive and tiring.  It allows an employer to test your personality, behaviour and knowledge across a number of areas, including your response to stress and fatigue to taking these demanding tests.  Your behaviour during the tests is measured along with the results of the tests, a fact often unknown to many interviewees.

Commonly employers will test you on two main areas:

1. Behavioural, which can include one or more of the following: personality questionnaire, one or more interviews, group exercise and presentation

2. Aptitude, including verbal, numerical and abstract tests.
